# Credits & Usage

> How Serin credits work, when they are used, and how to manage your organization's usage.

Serin uses a credit-based system so organizations pay for the hiring activities they actually use. This guide explains how credits work and where to find your usage.

# What Are Credits?

Credits represent **Interview Minutes** that your organization purchases and spends on Serin hiring activities. Instead of a flat subscription for unlimited usage, credits are consumed based on the work your team does — primarily the duration of AI interview sessions.

Think of credits as prepaid interview capacity for your organization.

# When Are Credits Used?

Credits are consumed when your organization uses Serin hiring features. Common activities include:

### Resume screening

When Serin parses and scores a candidate's resume against job requirements — including bulk screening workflows.

### AI interview

When a candidate completes a Serin interview session. Credits are deducted based on the **actual duration** of the interview, not a fixed amount per session.

### Report generation

When Serin generates a structured interview report after a session completes.

<Note>
  Exact credit costs may vary by plan and activity type. Check your organization's dashboard or [serin-ai.com pricing](https://serin-ai.com/#pricing) for current plan details.
</Note>

# Viewing Credits

You can view your organization's credit balance from the profile dropdown in the Serin dashboard.

The credit display shows:

* **Available credits** — Remaining interview minutes
* **Total credits** — Your organization's purchased capacity
* **Usage progress** — A visual indicator of how much has been consumed

If your organization belongs to multiple organizations on Serin, each organization has its own separate credit balance.

# Managing Credits

### Remaining credits

Monitor your available credits before scheduling high-volume hiring activities such as bulk invitations or large interview batches.

### Organization usage

Credits are scoped to the organization, not individual users. All team members draw from the same organization credit pool.

### Running low

If your credits are running low, you may need to purchase additional Interview Minutes before conducting more sessions. Contact Serin or visit your billing settings to add credits.
